OECD - Uranium Exploration to Double
According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), uranium exploration spending will double this year on the back of higher prices and a renewed commitment to nuclear energy from the major consuming nations. OECD analyst Robert Vance expects spending of around US$400 million versus US$200 million in 2005. Exploration expenditures are expected to stay high as long as uranium prices stay high.
