Metals Continue to Hold Their Ground
Metals continue to show strength. We liked these comments from Toronto-based market analyst Henry Cieszynski.
“Metals have continued to recover with gold back near $600 an ounce, nickel at a new high, copper back up over the $3.50 level and zinc strong an inventories drop… Nickel was up $0.45 to a record high at $15.63 a pound. This reflects the strike at two eramet mines in New Caledonia at a time when LME nickel inventories are extremely low at 4,476 tonnes as this in only 2 days of global consumption. Lionore, Nuinsco, Crowflight, FNX, Dynatec, Mustang and Brilliant Mining can be noticed for their nickel interests.”
